What made princess Diana so unique and loved by the world yet unloved by many of those around her? Let’s examine an interview she had that I found intriguing and happen to run across it on a social media newsfeed.
Interviewer: Do you think you’ll ever be queen?
Princess Diana: No, I don’t. No.
Interviewer: Why do you think that?
Princess Diana: I’d like to be the queen of people’s hearts; in people’s hearts. But I don’t see myself being queen of this country. I don’t think many people would want me to be queen. When I say many people I say the establishment that I married into because they have decided that I am a non-starter.
Interviewer: Why do you think they decided that?
Princess Diana: Because I do things differently. Because I don’t go by a rule book. Because I lead from the heart. Because I lead from the heart-not the head. Albeit that’s got me into trouble in my work; I understand that. But somebody’s gotta go out there and love people and show it.
Interviewer: And you think because of the way you behave that’s precluded you effectively from becoming queen?
Princess Diana: Well, not precluded me. I wouldn’t say that…I don’t think I have as many supporters in that environment than I did.
Interviewer: You mean within the royal household?
Princess Diana: Yes, they see me as a threat of some kind! I am here to do good; I am not a destructive person.
Interviewer: Why do they see you as a threat?
Princess Diana: I think every strong woman in history has had to walk down a similar path. I think it’s the strength that causes the confusion and the fear. Why is she strong? Where did she get it from? Where is she taking it? Where is she going to use it? Why do the public still support her?
Did you see this interview as being just as powerful as I believe it is? Spiritually speaking there are many people at your home church, even in your family who may not support you and oppose you. Why? Because they see a strength in you that’s not natural. The anointing upon your life exposes the weakness within them so if they can successfully make you feel inadequate then the darkness (inadequacies) within them are not exposed. Keep your eyes on Jesus and realize (the pubic) outsiders sometimes will accept you before people in your family or the household of God will. Be your true authentic self; the person God has called you to be. Because people may disapprove of you but nothing can stop God’s plan for your life.
This is truly encouraging.
Thanks for stopping by Andrea! I’m glad you were blessed by the post-have a productive and prosperous week!
