There are lots of disappointments brewing in the air as we come toward the end of 2017. Many dreams remain still unfulfilled. Others are holding on to promises given by God that are still unanswered.
We’re told in scripture “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12, NIV)
We’re also told “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5)
So I’m here to encourage you to not just hold on to the promise but hold Him dear who gave the promise. Your desire will be fulfilled and the fruit from that blessing is not just for you but your children and their children (future generations) will reap the fruit of your faithfulness towards God. Dry your eyes because sorrow isn’t here to stay but brighter days are ahead in your future if you’ll take hold of God’s unchanging hand.
My friend Tamoura said,
“It’s important for us to have an accountability partner in order for us to assess each other.”
In other words, I may see my year as one of trials and disappointment after disappointment, yet someone who’s close to me may see a different story.
Tamoura eloquently stated,
“I see increase in your life as I see where there were much more opportunities that opened up to you in the area of your calling. This year was only the beginning and was setting the stage for all that God has for you in 2018 and beyond!”
I’ll end with this encouraging verse:
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded” (Hebrews 10:35).
