Acacia’s message will leave the listener with:
- Restored hope to look to Jesus and not their past or present circumstances.
- A new outlook in how they see trials; they’ll refrain from being bitter and become better and learn to embrace the past for what it is-not live in it but to learn from it and use it as a stepping stone into a new destiny and purpose in Christ.
- A renewed faith, hope and trust in Jesus that will propel them to persevere and continue to fight the good fight of faith.

The Serpent Beguilded Eve
Ishmael Is Gone – Now Where Is Isaac?
In this two part book series Acacia candidly speaks about unknowingly marrying a spouse who abandoned her and their two children to pursue a same sex relationship. She speaks about the hurt and the supernatural healing that manifested as she made the decision to forgive herself and her ex-spouse. Both books are composed of chapter to chapter discussion guides to encourage the reader to introspectively examine their own lives. While all readers may not be able to relate to the specific details of Acacia’s experience many can relate to the plight many singles feel to get married because of a ticking biological time clock (as was the case for Acacia) and the hurdle of forgiveness when it’s someone you trusted and cared for. Forgiveness is integral and the message of the gospel. If you do not forgive neither will your Heavenly Father forgive you of your transgressions, yet so many believers hold on to past wounds of hurt year after year, not realizing they are held in bondage and are cut off from the love and grace of God.
Damascus Road: A Journey to the Cross
Overcoming Adversity in Obscurity
In her book Damascus Road Acacia transparently speaks about her bouts with mental illness. Too many times, the Christian community has turned a blind eye to people distressed with mental illness; neglecting to help them practically or spiritually. Slaton describes the personal psychotic attacks she dealt with as a young woman plagued with peer pressure, gossip, and a destiny she had to learn to embrace.
Throughout Damascus Road, Slaton references the specific Biblical scriptures that kept her going and ultimately victorious in her battle with mental illness. Her writing style of including Biblical scriptures are unique because of the way Slaton weaves them throughout her story. Her journey is one which illustrates the importance of maintaining a consistent relationship with Jesus Christ and reading His Word, especially during such a struggle.
Hopefully, Damascus Road will influence all people, particularly Christians, to become more keenly aware of the existence of mental illness via demonic attacks. Do not fear it but through God’s Word help others overcome it.
Launch Out Into the Deep!
Fear Not, Only Believe
Acacia learned at a young age that she had to cling to Jesus with her dear life because of the severe demonic attacks waged against her life at 15 years old. She couldn’t skate around Christianity and committed her life to Jesus at the age of 18 years old. She learned through this experience that the enemy has blinded and deceived so many young people to believe they have forever to get saved and surrender their lives to Christ. Unfortunately, many die unprepared for eternity and regrettably realize too late that a refusal to accept and commit to a loving savior is the hugest offense and sin one can commit and leads to eternal damnation to one’s soul. The vision and dreams unveiled to her have the potential to lead to a revival amongst the youth in our generation.
Aaron Slaton (Acacia’s brother) is the co-author of Launch Out Into The Deep! He works in the computer field and is an aspiring song writer and producer. Most importantly, he is passionate about his faith in Jesus Christ. Aaron is transparent about God’s deliverance and faithfulness in delivering him from a lifestyle of sexual immorality. His testimony is certain to bring deliverance in the lives of many men and women who suffer in silence.
Aaron is over the evangelistic outreach ministry at Resurrection House For All Nations. Also, Aaron and Acacia are over the Singles ministry at Resurrection House and are excited about the opportunity to speak at your next event.
In the Valley of Decision
The Danger of Compromise and Lukewarmness in the Last Days
The topic and message of this book will awaken those in the Body of Christ who have been lured into a deep sleep of religion and compromise. Acacia’s own story of being awakened from a deep spiritual sleep will sound the alarm that’s necessary to reignite a passion in believers to purse God (by remaining hot for Him) and no longer cold (apathetic) towards the things of God.
Where Can I Go in My Shame?
Finding Your Identity in Christ
This heart felt message will change the way you see guilt and shame in your life. Acacia had two public nervous breakdowns on the campus of Oral Roberts University and went through the shame of her husband divorcing her to pursue a same-sex relationship. Years ago a college friend told her that the enemy’s attempt was to destroy her self-esteem and confidence because in this very area of weakness God would strengthen her to restore the self-esteem of others. Shame no longer belongs in your life and you can experience peace and abundance in areas you never thought you’d be whole just as Acacia’s hope and confidence has been restored in Christ.
Acacia is available to read her beloved children books at schools.
I Miss Daddy
This book will resonate with military youth who feel the plight from the prolonged absence of a parent during deployment. Children who have a parent who may travel for extended period of time may also relate to the message of this book. The book has discussion questions to engage young readers and discuss how the characters experiences may relate to their own.
Mommy, Am I Still Your Princess?
Having a new baby in the family can be exciting but it can also bring feelings of mixed emotions and abandonment when an only child is dethroned and no longer the center of attention. This book will help the child feel they are just as special and will always hold a place in their parents heart that can never be replaced. Discussion questions are included at the end to engage the young reader to express how the emotions they’re experiencing may be similar to the character’s.
